First, let me thank you for considering Uncle Fred's Music Machine for your mobile D.J. needs. I know that there are many options out there for you to choose from.
MISSION STATEMENT
To provide an outstanding, memorable, professional entertainment experience for your special event.
EXPERIENCE

I guess I could have this programmed to play Springsteen’s “Born In The U.S.A.” while you are reading it… but I think that’s going back a bit to far. However, I have been involved with music in one form or another for most of my life. Music is a passion with me… never just a job. From school sock-hops while growing up to parties and events for friends, I’ve been “spinning the tunes” for more years than I care to count.
Rest assured, that with my broad range of experience and musical knowledge we will come up with a great “play list” for your event, and that it will be presented in a professional manner.
SKILLS
There are two main skills that a good D.J. should have. First they must be personable and be able to easily talk to the hosts and guests (No cranky Curmudgeons need apply!!) and secondly, they must understand what it is to be a professional. Being versatile and able to please a wide variety of audiences. The ability to “read the crowd” and anticipate the best music for any given situation and be flexible enough to change the “script” quickly, if needed.
At your event, as D.J., I can be “conservative” or "upbeat and energetic” on the microphone depending on the situation at the time and, of course, your preferences… It’s your call.
MUSIC
In the end, “It’s all about the music”. For a D.J. music is the main “tool” we work with to create a product… and as in any occupation, a craftsman always selects the best tools.
My music library includes well over 20,000 selections (I stopped counting years ago) and spans all eras and types of music from the birth of the big bands in the 1920’s to the hits of today. I have an extensive collection of Jazz, Blues, Pop and Rock from the early 1950’s through the late 1980’s. C&W, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Soul…
Want to have a “Rave”… Let’s talk Techno. A Polka Party? …I’ve got it covered. Do you need Cajun and Zydeco for a Marti Gras party… Got that too!
I’ve got a lot of “New Age” music… but like they said on American Bandstand, I’d give it a 65… It’s got a good beat but it’s hard to dance to.
A somewhat unique offering we have at Uncle Fred’s Music Machine to make your event “special” is a vast collection of Old Time Radio shows from the 1930’s through the 1960’s… A Halloween party? How about something like “Three Skeleton Key” starring Vincent Price.
All of the radio shows back then did “Holiday Specials” that, when listened to today, invoke memories of a simpler bygone era….
For a historical perspective how about the actual radio broadcasts from D-Day or other events during WWII.
Depending on your event and your guests, an Old Time Radio broadcast could be the perfect complement.
Together we will develop a program and a “script” that works best for the style and scope of your special event. If you’re not sure what you want… No Problem! We’ll work it out. And you can always be confident knowing that my experiences and skills will give you the memorable event that you want.
Consultations are ALWAYS free. So contact us today and let’s talk ‘bout it.
I guarantee that if, after talking to you about your event, Uncle Fred’s Music Machine is not a good “fit” I will work with you to find a solution that is. There are a lot of Mobile D.J.’s in the area, that offer a number of different services. I know many of them and will be happy to refer you to them if they would work better. Although they are my “competition” they are also my professional colleagues.
